Conventional Treatments

Although the key to traumatic brain injury recovery is time, many conventional medications and treatments exist to assist in patient recovery.  Treatment plans depend entirely on the patients; however, below is a list of possible treatment options to look into in order to explore all options in TBI recovery.

Conventional methods traditionally treat acute chronic pain and are typically in the form of prescription or over the counter drugs.  Conventional medications often provide immediate relief, but do not address the deeper cause of the symptoms.  Typically, the conventional medications prescribed to TBI patients include anti-depressant, anti-seizure, narcotic, sleep aid, muscle relaxer, and pain medications.
